Library Card Membership

Who Is Eligible?

Library cards are issued at no charge to individuals who reside within the library’s legal service area, defined as ZIP Code 77612 and surrounding Buna community areas.
Applicants must provide proof of residency at the time of registration. Acceptable documentation may include:
Valid government-issued photo identification showing current address, OR
A current utility bill, lease agreement, or official mail showing name and address
Children and minors may obtain a card with a parent or legal guardian present to assume responsibility.

Cardholders may borrow:

Loan periods and checkout limits are established by library policy.

Small per-weekday late fees may apply to overdue physical materials.

Through the Piney Woods Digital Consortium

Buna Public Library participates in the Piney Woods Digital Consortium.

With an active library card, members receive access to:

Access requires a valid library card number and an active account in the library system.

Digital materials do not accrue late fees and are automatically returned at the end of the lending period.

To maintain active status, cardholders agree to:

The library reserves the right to suspend borrowing privileges for unresolved fines or policy violations.
